Raptor Technology
Designed to address the multi-gun and multi-caliber challenges faced by suppressor owners, the Raptor is available in various lengths and calibers tailored to your needs. Each Raptor suppressor can be connected using the provided Reflex mounting system or a flush mount. Additionally, the Raptor Adapter allows conversion of the suppressor's base threads to the industry-standard 1.375×24 thread pitch, compatible with numerous QD mounts on the market.
The Raptor employs spiral-shaped baffles to maintain gas movement while minimizing back pressure. Using the Reflex mounting system significantly increases the suppressor's volume without extending the firearm's overall length.
Available in caliber-specific bores like 5.56mm, 7.62mm, .338cal, and .375cal, the Raptor comes in various lengths, from 2 to 10 spiral baffles, with Reflex mounting options ranging from 1” to 5”.
AB Spiral Tech
Our spirals are engineered for maximum efficiency. Unlike conical baffles, spirals channel gases into a spin, which reduces their energy quickly and effectively as opposed to them hitting an angular wall or corner. As gases lose energy, more can be introduced into the spiral. This spinning action dissipates energy efficiently. AB Spiral Technology significantly cuts back pressure with each shot, producing a lower sound tone, which enhances auditory comfort for the shooter.
Reflex Mounting System
The Reflex mount utilizes the unused space around the barrel to increase the blast chamber volume without adding length to the weapon system. A standard 3-inch Reflex mount, for example, expands the blast chamber to 7.26 cubic inches, which is 243% more than a flush mount's volume.
Advantages of a Reflex Mount
- Reduced sound pressure
- Deeper tone and superior harmonics
- Lower flash signature
- Minimized blowback from the ejection port
- Decreased bolt unlock speed and cyclic rate in machine guns
- Less wear on the firearm's operating system and key components
- Distributes weight over the barrel, decreasing barrel whip for more accurate shots
- Acts as a sacrificial baffle, enhancing the durability of the spirals by absorbing the initial blast
The Blast Chamber
The blast chamber is crucial in suppressor design, impacting factors such as accuracy, back pressure, dB reduction, and tone. This chamber is the space behind the blast baffle/spiral where gases first enter upon muzzle exit. With a standard flush mount, the blast chamber measures 2.99 cubic inches.
