When YHM engineers work on creating a suppressor, their focus extends beyond just quieting the designated caliber. They design it to perform across different firearms, providing shooters with versatile options for their entire arsenal at an affordable price, all while keeping the robust durability YHM® is known for. This philosophy guided the development of the R9™ 9mm suppressor.
The main objective was to create a 9mm suppressor that could withstand high volumes of fire and support other calibers like .300 BLK and .308 Win, with a particular emphasis on suppressing 9mm rounds for sub-machine guns and SBRs.
Additionally, the R9™ can be used with a handgun through the use of our Nielsen Booster Assembly.
It features 1-3/8”-24 rear mounting threads and comes in the 1/2”-28 Direct Thread format. The suppressor has a fully-welded tubeless body design and is crafted from 17-4 PH Stainless Steel, which enhances its strength and resistance to corrosion. It has limited full-auto capability.
